Our Journey

From Concept to Cutting-Edge Tech

Founded at Imperial College London, D-SCAPE originated from a vision to combat severe dengue through technology. Built on collaboration with the Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ho Chi Minh City and the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit in Vietnam, as part of the Wellcome Trust funded VITAL consortium, the first generation D-SCAPE device was developed and clinically validated in a pilot study in Vietnam. Now with funding from the medical research charity LifeArc, we are developing the second and third generations of D-SCAPE with a view to making the device commercially available and enabling implementation within hospital settings.
